John Rutherford's
Check Your Chart, for the Week of 13 November, 2006
“No drug, not even alcohol, causes the fundamental ills of
society. If we’re looking for the sources of our troubles, we
shouldn’t test people for drugs, we should test them for stupidity,
ignorance, greed and love of power.” – P. J. O’Rourke
What a bizarre week. Not so much for the weird and warped, the
rethink and the double take, but for the sheer concentration of it.
What a focus. It started with the fairly obvious, Britney splits
with KFed on a Venus, the Lover, square Neptune, the Slippery. They
were married on an opposition of the two, then had the “show” wedding
with Venus opposed Uranus. Cute, but easily a no go.
Then, the Sun burped. Maybe it was that comet it ate last
week. Then, it got strange. Sure, the Macho Honcho down south
got a “thumpin”. People were ticked at Mister Slippery, shown by
Sun square Neptune for the US election. The restrictions of Saturn
in his First House squared by Jupiter buried down below in his
Fourth. And, Mercury is trying to wipe off the smirk, seen in its
transit of the Sun’s face.
But, Bush is still the commander. The election was a negative
(Neptune, the Escape Artist), not positive. Questions must be
asked, an accounting is long in arrears, but Neptune’s talent for
entanglement give few practical options. Wishes aside, it must
still be “stay the course”. What’s the alternative?
Then, weirdo head spaces sought to reign. Former UK defence chief,
Nick Pope, warns, “Aliens could attack at any time.” Really?
A man who tried to have his wife killed to get out of child support now
argues he shouldn’t pay because he’s in jail. Really? A man
who killed his wife now wants leniency because his culture requires
revenge for insults. Really? Saddam says the Iraqi people
should kiss and make up. Really? Bush says, after
contemptuously snubbing the Dems for six years, he’s looking forward to
bipartisan co-operation. Really???
OK, some things look promising. As Solar winds picked up at the end
of the week, the Rain Coast got blustery. China is getting more
heat for unfair trade practices. Ottawa closed the trust leak
before Mercury’s transit. Now it wants to close the door on
offshore tax havens. Hopeful winds for sure, except when Mercury is
retrograde it’s tough for a deal to stick. This also blows
difficulties for Dems living up to expectations for 2008.
The symbolism of Neptune is still slippery. So is letting judicial
selections be influenced by self-interest groups. Six years of
negligible (or, is it negligent?) accountability will soon get close
scrutiny down south. Why should anyone think it won’t here?
Mercury keeps stirring. It stirred last March when the Iraqi Study
Group attempted to get bipartisan co-operation. The commander
didn’t budge then. Why would he now, in spite of words to that
effect? Mercury’s words are blowing against the Sun. More
storms, difficult sailing.
Nota Bene: Planetary aspects to the Sun are always of
primary concern. Aspects of the Sun to Planetary midpoints are not
of great concern unless at the same time as a basic aspect. Often,
they may be weaker than aspects of the Planets to each other, unless
involving the Giants. Know your priorities.

This week: Last week, it was Neptune, the Lost. This
week, it’s Saturn, the Stern. Having to listen to your elders,
anyone? They may be old, but doesn’t craft and guile trump youthful
enthusiasm? Getting busted earns a trip to the woodshed.
The blissful alignment of Venus and Jupiter can’t shake Father Time
looking over your shoulder. The Moon is small, slow, of little help
unless you’re looking to get lost. Hold your breath until after
Mercury and Uranus go direct, after the weekend.
Monday - Tuesday, 13-14 November. (Moon in Virgo. Sun
aspects Saturn – Venus – Jupiter / Neptune, Mars – Jupiter. 20-22
Fix, 5-7 Card)
Break out the social graces, best manners, and an expectant
face. From last week to this, Venus aspects the remnants of the
Summer’s Giant T-square. Mars starts his three week campaign of
renewal, or revenge, with first of the big three Friday. Nobody
finds this easy. Hurt feelings run very deep. This takes
several tries to even get going. Get going.
Monday, 13 November. (Mercury in Scorpio trine Uranus. 10
degrees of All Signs.)
A few anxious twitches, but if you don’t encourage them, they will go
away. Clearing.
Wednesday, 15 November. (Moon apogee in late Virgo, early
Libra. Venus conjunct Jupiter, aspects Mars / Uranus. 28
Fixed Signs, 13 Cardinal)
Very sweet, very nice, but with the Moon so distant, it’s all just
for you. Some run-around, some disconnect for trying, so sit back
and savour.
Thursday, 16 November. (Moon in Libra. Sun square
Saturn. 24 degrees Fixed, 9 Card)
Taming wild horses is a test of wills. The Maverick won’t
win. He will take to the bit and bridle with no choice except the
glue factory. This is the 2nd Solar aspect of the
T-square. Jupiter’s turn is next week, giving the tests, lessons,
and disciplines a break.
Friday, 17 November. (Moon in late Libra. Sun aspects
Mercury / Uranus. 24-25 degrees Fixed, 9-10 Card)
Such a need to know, so little patience for the process or the
results. Yet, you will know.
(Mars square Neptune. 17 degrees of Fixed Signs, 2 of
Cardinal)
Matches won’t start underwater. But then, why would you
try? Efforts good for wasting.
(Mercury stationary, aspects Venus / Neptune. 9 degrees Fixed,
24 Mutable)
Like that tune that won’t quit, you’re stuck on lovely thoughts and
sweet dreams. So? It’s a pleasant replay. Entertainment
well worth taking in.
Sunday, 19 November. (Moon in Scorpio. Sun aspects Jupiter
/ Saturn. 26-27 Fix, 11-12 Card)
Defer the pleasures, because it’s business first. This business
will produce, is worth the time and effort. You could retire from
it, much later.
(Uranus stationary in Pisces. 10 degrees Mutable, 25
Cardinal)
This guy is just plain different. When most Planets turn
forward, good. With the only Planet tipped on its side, this
disrupts, challenges and makes for stubborn. Get help.
If you want the "horrible-scopes", go somewhere else.
If you want the meaning behind them, stay on.
Is your Number up? Check Your Four Personal Points for
every day, see below. If the numbers match, this day is for
you.
Each forecast shows: the Moon Sign, the Planetary Aspect, and Numbers
of degrees in Signs for the Planetary Aspect.
The Moon Sign is the Sign the Moon is in for that day.
The Moon Sign gives advantage to the Sign it is in, puts extra
pressure on the opposite Sign, and tends to cross up or neutralise the
Signs at right angles. For example, with Fixed Signs, if the Moon
is in Taurus, Taurus has the advantage, Scorpio gets challenged, and Leo
and Aquarius get shifted or crossed up.
The Planetary Aspect is where action is released. It's the
Excuse. Unlike daily Horoscopes that suggest each day has the same
level of influence, this is the core of changes in the daily
energies.
The Sign Numbers are the degrees in the Signs of the Zodiac being
emphasised. If the degree for any day is close to any degree of
Your Four Personal Points (see below), within a degree or so, THIS
IS YOUR DAY. Pay extra ATTENTION.
You may have several days in the week activated for you, or you may have
none. As a degree hits one of Your Four Personal Points, the
forecast tells about the important things in your life. The daily
forecasts tell you when. The overall story comes through over
time. Sooner or later, the degrees of the Forecast catch up to
you.
Your Four Personal Points are, in order of importance:
The Ascendant, the Mid-heaven, the Moon, and the
Sun.
These are the most important Points of your Horoscope, calculated
from your birth date, your birth-place, and the time of day you drew your
first breath. The first two Personal Points, the Ascendant
and Mid-heaven, are the points that fix the
Earth in space for your birth time at your specific birth
place. We live on the Earth, not the Sun or the Moon. The
Ascendant, also called Your Rising Sign, is more important
than your Sun Sign.
Simply, and generally only, forecasts that affect your:
Ascendant relate to matters in your
environment. Use it to see what's in your "face".
Mid-heaven relate to matters in your personal
life. Use it to see what's in your mind.
Moon
relate to matters in your emotional life. Use it to see
what's in your heart.
Sun
relate to matters in your physical
life. Use it to see what's in
your core.
The Signs of the Zodiac are:
Card: Cardinal Signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn)
Fix: Fixed Signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius)
Mut: Mutable Signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces)
Heaven, Help Us! The forecast is the mood of the
moment. For example, if it rains, we all get wet, no matter
what "Sign" we are.
If you like this forecast, let others know. SEND IT TO THEM.
If you have comments or questions, LET ME KNOW. Check Your Four
Personal Points each week if any of them is targeted, and...
