John Rutherford's
Check Your Chart, for the Week of 8 January, 2007
John Rutherford is a friend of mine who gives me my regular chart readings...
Back in 1993, he once told me I would be addressing large crowds in the future...
Did I believe him then? His charts have been pretty good for me, and so I share his knowledge with you.
Since the Sun is still rather quiet, and the Astrological weather
too, let’s focus on what last week’s “look ahead” might mean for
you. Even if there has been a big flap at our “waffle”, with the
blow out at BC Place, let’s thank Mercury, ruler of The Winds, for
that. It also signifies that anyone with 16 degrees of Cardinal
Signs important in their Horoscope is going through a transition, an
important change, and with the two biggest Giant Planets involved, too
often legal issues, real estate and control of property are
included.
Skirmishes along your borders? Then the exact degree of your
Ascendant are involved. Uprooting, or a big make-over? Then,
it’s your Midheaven that’s so close to 16 degrees. Feeling
confused, jostled by too much coming due all at once? Likely, it’s
your Moon that’s close to 16 degrees of one of the four Cardinal
Signs.
What are they? They are eager and adventurous Aries, the first Sign
of Spring, Cancer, the staid Sign of Summer, Libra, fastidious ruler of
Fall’s constant shifts, and ever so optimistic Capricorn, in the depths
of Winter with no place to go but up. Oh, yes, and the first degree
of Mutable Signs are also in this forecast moment. They are Gemini,
Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces.
But, only look at, or closely around, these degrees. If, for
example, it was your birthday on the 6th when Mercury aligned
with the Sun at 16 degrees of Capricorn, or your birthday is the
9th of July when the Sun is at 16 degrees of Cancer, then the
Cosmic Winds are blowing change your way. If you are born as a
December Capricorn or, say, the 18th of July, well, close only
counts in horse shoes and hand grenades, this blow ain’t for you.
As for the bigger picture, come March with the bigger aspect complex,
this focuses on slow moving Neptune in Aquarius, a Fixed Sign, at 18 to
20 degrees, or if you were born around the 7th to
9th of February. Saturn in Leo, the opposite Fixed Sign,
insists on “the paint being dry before proceeding”, finishing one step at
a time before the next. Aquarius wants to paint everything and “who
cares about finishes?” Something has to give, probably
Aquarius.
The Fixed Signs at the “cross”, square, namely Taurus and Scorpio also
must put away or put out something, not just put up with this “never
ending” episode, since Saturn will be ever so determined and Neptune
hasn’t the real strength to resist in spite of the posturings. Oh,
and 3 to 5 degrees of Cardinal Signs are included in this. Get your
Horoscope calculated to know where, to the exact degree, your Ascendant,
Midheaven and Moon are positioned. These are easily as important,
if not more so, than your Sun in the chart. Pay Attention!
Note Been: More contracted notation will be used this year, to
save space and leave room for more calculations. Of course, CYC is
only a guideline for Planetary influences. More specifics come in
when looking at your complete Horoscope.

This Week: “If you can’t say anything good, don’t say
nuttin’.” Well then we have a lot to talk about, because this
portends to be a good week. Mars trines Saturn Monday to make
what’s started long and steady. Slow and steady rules through
Thursday, in spite of Mars aligning with the Galactic Centre, trying to
stir up a bitter taste of revenge. Good thing Mars moves relatively
fast so this won’t endure.
The
best aspect, the Bliss Aspect, is Venus with Jupiter Friday. Even
tantrums can be laughed at. Mercury aspects Jupiter and Uranus then
too, to boost morale, humour, and more of a sense of camaraderie.
Party on! Saturday is supposed to be slow and a bit tired,
OK? Get back on your ever-so-personal fitness kick Sunday.
Monday, 8 January. (Moon in Virgo. Sun aspects Sat /
Ura. 17-18 Card, 2-3 Mut)
Often giving a sense of stress, anxiety, and tension, this aspect is
also good for open marketplace issues, making business, when in a
business-like attitude, work. Work it. (Mars trine Sat. 24 deg All Signs) Plug in and stay in for a while. This denotes endurance, taking
time, over stark hardship, though if you want to make it that way…
Cinch the belt, rather than harden the heart.
Tuesday – Thursday, 9-11 January. (Moon in late Libra.
Merc, then Sun aspects Sat / Nep. 21 Card, 6 Mut)
Develop a pace and rhythm, rather than throw this away. Tuesday
made an offer. This asks for follow through, though it takes it’s
time. Thin and threadbare, a fixer-upper.
Thursday, 11 January. (Mars aligns with the Galactic
Centre. 26 Mut)
A test of tempers, will, soon to fade. A macho show that has
little real power for backup.
Friday, 12 January. (Moon in Scorpio. Ven sextile
Jup. 10 degrees of All Signs)
How good can it get? Little fuss and muss, but if there is, it
was most likely all in fun, easily cleaned and cleared. Whistle
while you do. Who cares if you don’t? Nice.
Friday – Saturday, 12-13 January. (Moon in Scorpio. Merc
aspects Jup, then Ura. 25-27 Card, 10-12 Mut)
Jump and shout. Get it all out of your system. Being bold
could actually make some needed changes. A big blast feels good,
should be shared, as long as there is a target.
Saturday, 13 January. (Moon in Scorpio. Sun aspects Mars /
Nep. 23 Card, 8 Mut)
Bagged and spent, if you let enough loose last night. But, try
to get any decent move on and you’ll soon learn what an odds-and-ends day
this is. Useful for the trivial.
Sunday, 14 January. (Moon in Sagittarius. Ven aspects
Mars. 13 Fix, 28 Mut)
So, you cleaned out your pipes Friday, slept it off Saturday and off
to a slow start today. Here’s the spur to clean up, tidy and tone
the bod and abode. Get it fit, not to be tied.
If you want the "horrible-scopes", go somewhere else.
If you want the meaning behind them, stay on.
Is your Number up? Check Your Four Personal Points for
every day, see below. If the numbers match, this day is for
you.
Each forecast shows: the Moon Sign, the Planetary Aspect, and Numbers
of degrees in Signs for the Planetary Aspect.
The Moon Sign is the Sign the Moon is in for that day.
The Moon Sign gives advantage to the Sign it is in, puts extra
pressure on the opposite Sign, and tends to cross up or neutralise the
Signs at right angles. For example, with Fixed Signs, if the Moon
is in Taurus, Taurus has the advantage, Scorpio gets challenged, and Leo
and Aquarius get shifted or crossed up.
The Planetary Aspect is where action is released. It's the
Excuse. Unlike daily Horoscopes that suggest each day has the same
level of influence, this is the core of changes in the daily
energies.
The Sign Numbers are the degrees in the Signs of the Zodiac being
emphasised. If the degree for any day is close to any degree of
Your Four Personal Points (see below), within a degree or so, THIS
IS YOUR DAY. Pay extra ATTENTION.
You may have several days in the week activated for you, or you may have
none. As a degree hits one of Your Four Personal Points, the
forecast tells about the important things in your life. The daily
forecasts tell you when. The overall story comes through over
time. Sooner or later, the degrees of the Forecast catch up to
you.
Your Four Personal Points are, in order of importance:
The Ascendant, the Mid-heaven, the Moon, and the
Sun.
These are the most important Points of your Horoscope, calculated
from your birth date, your birth-place, and the time of day you drew your
first breath. The first two Personal Points, the Ascendant
and Mid-heaven, are the points that fix the
Earth in space for your birth time at your specific birth
place. We live on the Earth, not the Sun or the Moon. The
Ascendant, also called Your Rising Sign, is more important
than your Sun Sign.
Simply, and generally only, forecasts that affect your:
Ascendant relate to matters in your
environment. Use it to see what's in your "face".
Mid-heaven relate to matters in your personal
life. Use it to see what's in your mind.
Moon
relate to matters in your emotional life. Use it to see
what's in your heart.
Sun
relate to matters in your physical
life. Use it to see what's in
your core.
The Signs of the Zodiac are:
Card: Cardinal Signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn)
Fix: Fixed Signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius)
Mut: Mutable Signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces)
Heaven, Help Us! The forecast is the mood of the
moment. For example, if it rains, we all get wet, no matter
what "Sign" we are.
If you like this forecast, let others know. SEND IT TO THEM.
If you have comments or questions, LET ME KNOW. Check Your Four
Personal Points each week if any of them is targeted, and...
