John Rutherford’s
Check Your Chart, for the Week of 26 February, 2007

John Rutherford is an astrologer and a friend of mine.  He has taught me lots about both astrology and relationships.  Afterall astrology is simply the relationship of planets, transits etc.  Enjoy.

What a week of pull-outs.  The Brits are pulling out of Iraq, so close to “operational failure” in Basra, to consolidate against the bad guy’s buildup in Afghanistan.  Five US generals threaten to pull out, as in resign, if Bush attacks Iran, as plans get ready.  The Supreme Court unanimously pulls Canada out of the torture business, and back into the Charter of Rights.  VPD Chief Jamie Graham pulls the plug after only 5 years, as a case of dumping gets pulled out of the past, nine years ago.  Hershey is pulling out of Smith Falls, much to the entire town’s chagrin.  And, Britney pulled her hair out, sort of.
A Mercury retrograde close on the heels of the Sun triggering the Saturn / Neptune opposition, what’s there to do but get out of Dodge, cowboys and girls?  Nothing, if you prise your sanity, fellow introspectors.
With tough, demanding Saturn so close to Mother Earth, stark conditions must be faced realistically.  With dreamy, distant Neptune so far away on the other side of the Sun, wishes and wide ranging visions must be buried.  With quick, pensive Mercury going backward, turn to the ‘within’ and pull away from the ‘without’.
So, pulling within, I’m now going to pull out, for this week that is.

Note Bene: Know what by when.  Astrology is all about timing.  Call for a good time.

This Week:  Full Moon?  So what?  It’s going into eclipse Saturday afternoon.  With next week’s Solar alignment with Uranus, there’s some spunkiness, but with whom?  How to connect?  How to get anything off the ground with Saturn exactly opposed Neptune on Wednesday?  Tuesday, and more on Thursday, there are brief buzzes of energy.  Extra work?  Then, back to the grind, even if well lit.

Monday - Tuesday, 26-27 February.  (Moon in Cancer.  Sun aspects Mercury / Jupiter-Uranus.  7-8 Mut, 22-23 Card)
Are you kidding?  Extra coffee won’t help on this highway.  Take a nap, some time out.  This flash is more fizzle than brilliant.  Or, like a full meal, it needs more digestion.
(Moon VOC in Cancer.  Mars aspects Jupiter / Uranus.  0 Fix, 15 Mut)
A delightful rush of energy, a pulsating crowd, this rocks!  Give it the jump start.

Tuesday - Wednesday, 27-28 February.  (Moon in late Cancer, early Leo.  Saturn
opposed Neptune, aspects Sun / Mars.  20 Fix, 5 Card)
Major Planets in a Major Aspect!  This will leave a mark, though deep and disappointing.  Something must be given, with no thought of getting.  Call it karmic, and ancient debt.  The more you’re willing to let go, the more you can find your foundation.  Anger is futile.  Quick expectations will be ‘forever’ frustrated.  Only the tortoise has a chance.

Wednesday, 28 February.  (Moon in Leo.  Venus aspects Mercury / Saturn-Neptune.  9 Card, 24 Fix)
This is switched round.  A smile isn’t nice, it wants something.  Grumpy is an opening, willing to give.  Giving less is still something.  Beware the ripoff, getting nothing.

Thursday, 1 March.  (Moon in Leo.  Mars aspects Jupiter.  2-3 Fix, 17-18 Mut)
Get on it, go for it.  A great start, no matter how big the mountain.  A small window.

Friday, 2 March.  (Moon in late Leo, early Virgo.  Mercury aspects Venus.  2 Mut, 17 Card)
If it’s an apology, it’s late but sincere.  If it’s an excuse, it’s another coverup.  Seek to reveal.

Saturday, 3 March.  (Full Moon, Lunar Eclipse, in Virgo.  13 Mut, 28 Card)
Yawn.  Little build up, little that can be built until the rubble clears.  Chores.  Bores.

If you want the “horrible-scopes”, go somewhere else.  If you want the meaning behind them, stay on.

Is your Number up?  Check Your Four Personal Points for every day, see below.  If the numbers match, this day is for you.

Each forecast shows: the Moon Sign, the Planetary Aspect, and Numbers of degrees in Signs for the Planetary Aspect.
The Moon Sign is the Sign the Moon is in for that day.  The Moon Sign gives advantage to the Sign it is in, puts extra pressure on the opposite Sign, and tends to cross up or neutralise the Signs at right angles.  For example, with Fixed Signs, if the Moon is in Taurus, Taurus has the advantage, Scorpio gets challenged, and Leo and Aquarius get shifted or crossed up.
The Planetary Aspect is where action is released.  It’s the Excuse.  Unlike daily Horoscopes that suggest each day has the same level of influence, this is the core of changes in the daily energies.
The Sign Numbers are the degrees in the Signs of the Zodiac being emphasised.  If the degree for any day is close to any degree of Your Four Personal Points (see below), within a degree or so, THIS IS YOUR DAY.  Pay extra ATTENTION!
You may have several days in the week activated for you, or you may have none.  As a degree hits one of Your Four Personal Points, the forecast tells about the important things in your life.  The daily forecasts tell you when.  The overall story comes through over time.  Sooner or later, the degrees of the Forecast catch up to you.

Your Four Personal Points are: Ascendant, Mid-heaven, Moon, and Sun in their order of importance.
These are the most important Points of your Horoscope, calculated from your birth date, your birth-place, and the time of day you drew your first breath.  The first two Personal Points, the Ascendant and Mid-heaven, are the points that fix the Earth in space for your birth time at your specific birth place.
We live on the Earth, not the Sun or the Moon.  The Ascendant, also called Your Rising Sign, is more important than your Sun Sign.

Simply, and generally only, forecasts that affect your:
Ascendant     relate to matters in your environment.  Use it to see what’s in your “face”.
Mid-heaven  relate to matters in your personal life.    Use it to see what’s in your mind.
Moon           relate to matters in your emotional life.   Use it to see what’s in your heart.
Sun              relate to matters in your physical life.        Use it to see what’s in your core.

The Signs of the Zodiac are:
Card: Cardinal Signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn)
Fix: Fixed Signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius)
Mut: Mutable Signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces)

Heaven, Help Us!  The forecast is the global mood of the moment. If it rains, we all get wet, no matter what “Sign” we are.
If you like this forecast, let others know.  SEND IT TO THEM.  If you have comments or questions, LET ME KNOW.  Check Your Four Personal Points each week to see if any of them is targeted, and...  PAY ATTENTION!
