John Rutherford's
Check Your Chart, for the Week of 9 January 2006
The mine had been cited dozens of times over the last year, then an
explosion, perhaps sparked by lightning, but where did all that methane
come from? It shouldn’t have been there in the first place.
Authorities, then the news services, said 13 were alive, all totally
wrong. Twelve lost their lives, one still critical with probable
brain damage. “Watch what you say” for the next 3 days, or sloppy
words will make you wish you hadn’t, so went last Monday’s forecast.
Also, fitful disorientation made for a rudderless ship of state as the
Sun hit the Point of Confusion. For decades, the hottest political
spot on the Earth has been Israel. It’s PM, Ariel Sharon, had a
massive stroke, putting the future of all peace dealings in the Middle
East way up in the air. Biased and bigoted US evangelist Pat
Robertson claimed it was “God’s Punishment” for dividing God’s Land,
giving Gaza to the Palestinians. What border is he looking at, pre-
or post-’67? What a way to make things worse.
And, they might get worse for the US soon. More explosions in
Kabul, rampant mayhem in Iraq, Tehran threatening with nukes, leadership
disruptions in Syria, indictments in Washington with more to follow, and
George W. Bush is looking at the Planet Saturn backing up over his
Ascendant next month. The numerous elections soon to be held in
South America could give several more Chavez’s for Bush to face,
Robertson’s assassination rhetoric not withstanding.
As for elections here in Canada, the transits on the 23rd
favour change and promote something new. Gosh, that sounds like the
Tories might take the reins. Sure, Harper also made his
polling-push to the front last week, along with other confusions, but
with what’s available for Horoscopes on our political leaders, he might
get the nod. It’s extremely difficult when Martin’s and Harper’s
birth times are not known. All an Astrologer has is the flavour of
the day, not the person. Saying that, Harper’s transits look better
than Martin’s. We shall soon see.
By the way: When Conrad Black was indicted, it was under Mercury
retrograde, saying he’ll probably have all charges dropped
eventually. So would Peter C. Neuman’s tit-for-tat with Black, done
at almost the same time. Black has since had more charges laid
against him. The retrograde, at the very least, means "a
taking back". With the new charges, the whole perspective has
changed, and Black is in real trouble, though Neuman is still OK.
Once again, we shall see.
Nota Bene: The keywords for Mercury are shift, movement, and
interchange, all forms of commerce. Mercury relates to real
involvement on his positive side, confusion and misunderstandings on his
negative side. How do you use yours? These Celestial Energies
are to be used, you know.

This Week: It’s always interesting to see the news filled
with human interest stories. It’s mostly filler with little that’s
really “news”. That was last week and so it will be again for most
of this one, until the Full Moon on a testy Friday the
13th. No, I’m not a triskaidekaphobe, and neither should
you be, but watch carefully for this one. Backward Venus aligns
with the Sun, turning Her Sweetness into a vindictive Miss Piggy for the
next few weeks.
Both the Sun and Venus aspect rankling Uranus. People’s sense of
pride and position will be challenged. Negotiations will
falter. Noses will get out of joint for the slightest cause, much
of it vain posturing. Tantrums will be thrown just “to get it off
one’s chest, so there”. All this is a set-up for some sort of
donnybrook Saturday night as Mars opposes Jupiter. It’s a good
“game day” Sunday.
Monday, 9 January. (Moon in Taurus. Sun aspects Venus /
Mars. 19 Card, 4 Mut)
Not that much of an urge, but it is nice, perhaps warm and
personal. Take advantage of the offer. Take the
compliment. Work up a sweat if you get motivated.
Friday, 13 January. (Full Moon in Cancer. Sun and
retrograde Venus aspect Uranus. 23 Card, 8 Mut)
Talk about touchy! Just one word could be the spark for
over-dry tinder. The smallest slight is magnified in someone’s
eyes. Full Moon’s are supposed to let the crazies out and this is
one of them. Stay at home.
(Mercury trine Mars, sextile Jupiter. 14-15 degrees of All
Signs.)
This just could be more fuel for the above, especially since Mars and
Jupiter are in conflict tomorrow late. Jupiter adds to whatever he
sees. Mars loves a good dust-up. Again, Mercury means just
one word will do.
Saturday - Sunday, 14-15 January. (Moon in late Cancer, early
Leo. Mars opposed Jupiter. 15 Fix, 0 Card)
A good day to go to war. Passions are high, tempers ready to
flare, and too many ready to take the slightest personal offence.
“It’s all about ME!” No it ain’t, but try to tell ‘em. More
cause for challenge. Thank goodness the Moon is slowing down, and
this will be rather short lived.
If you want the "horrible-scopes", go somewhere else. If
you want the meaning behind them, stay on.
Is your Number up? Check Your Four Personal Points for
every day, see below. If the numbers match, this day is for
you.
Each forecast shows: the Moon Sign, the Planetary Aspect, and Numbers
of degrees in Signs for the Planetary Aspect.
The Moon Sign is the Sign the Moon is in for that day.
The Moon Sign gives advantage to the Sign it is in, puts extra
pressure on the opposite Sign, and tends to cross up or neutralise the
Signs at right angles. For example, with Fixed Signs, if the Moon
is in Taurus, Taurus has the advantage, Scorpio gets challenged, and Leo
and Aquarius get shifted or crossed up.
The Planetary Aspect is where action is released. It's the
Excuse. Unlike daily Horoscopes that suggest each day has the same
level of influence, this is the core of changes in the daily
energies.
The Sign Numbers are the degrees in the Signs of the Zodiac being
emphasised. If the degree for any day is close to any degree of
Your Four Personal Points (see below), within a degree or so, THIS
IS YOUR DAY. Pay extra ATTENTION.
You may have several days in the week activated for you, or you may have
none. As a degree hits one of Your Four Personal Points, the
forecast tells about the important things in your life. The daily
forecasts tell you when. The overall story comes through over
time. Sooner or later, the degrees of the Forecast catch up to
you.
Your Four Personal Points are, in order of importance:
The Ascendant, the Mid-heaven, the Moon, and the
Sun.
These are the most important Points of your Horoscope, calculated
from your birth date, your birth-place, and the time of day you drew your
first breath. The first two Personal Points, the Ascendant
and Mid-heaven, are the points that fix the
Earth in space for your birth time at your specific birth
place. We live on the Earth, not the Sun or the Moon. The
Ascendant, also called Your Rising Sign, is more important
than your Sun Sign.
Simply, and generally only, forecasts that affect your:
Ascendant relate to matters in your
environment. Use it to see what's in your "face".
Mid-heaven relate to matters in your personal
life. Use it to see what's in your mind.
Moon
relate to matters in your emotional life. Use it to see
what's in your heart.
Sun
relate to matters in your physical
life. Use it to see what's in
your core.
The Signs of the Zodiac are:
Card: Cardinal Signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn)
Fix: Fixed Signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius)
Mut: Mutable Signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces)
Heaven, Help Us! The forecast is the mood of the
moment. For example, if it rains, we all get wet, no matter
what "Sign" we are.
If you like this forecast, let others know. SEND IT TO THEM.
If you have comments or questions, LET ME KNOW. Check Your Four
Personal Points each week if any of them is targeted, and...
