John Rutherford is a friend of mine who gives me my regular chart readings...
Back in 1993, he once told me I would be addressing large crowds in the future...
Did I believe him then? His charts have been pretty good for me, and so I share his knowledge with you.
John Rutherford's
Check Your Chart, for the Week of 4 December, 2006
Ask me and I might say “yes”, but tell me what to do and you’re going to
get my back up. Teach someone how to do something and often they
are grateful. Preach to them what they have to do, force it, then
resistance builds. Being willing to work together, just the
willingness to do so, goes a long way toward workable relationships.
It was
fascinating a while back to watch a documentary on travel through
Somalia. As the host moved from one sub-tribal area to another, he
found he didn’t have enough representatives from the new sub-tribe in his
travel group. An elder objected. All travel was halted.
Negotiations were vital for any progress. Everybody sat down to
talk. Such is the way.
Bush
met last week with the heads of several mid-East states, or tried
to. But, just before, King Abdullah of Jordan said the mid-East was
threatened with civil wars in Lebanon and Palestine, as well as
Iraq. Also just before, Maliki of Iraq agreed on a security pact
with Iran. That and a leaked memo from the Bush side saying Maliki
is either ignorant, lying or incapable. Not a comfortable premise
for dinner, so Maliki didn’t go. A major diplomatic snub.
More “Whatever,” right?
Meanwhile, the Dutch in Afghanistan have been in just as nasty and tribal
a region as the Canadians. In their first four months, they haven’t
lost a soldier, not one. The 1,400 troops came ready for “killing
and breaking things”, but “talking to the Taliban is essential,”
according to Lt.-Col. Tak. “When you treat people badly, it comes
back at you,” says Nisar Ahmad, head of a Barakzai militia.
Working with an all-encompassing respect for any situation produces
positive results. Promoting abstinence-only for family planning
won’t get far. Allowing continued trawling, the marine version of
clearcutting, won’t. Conservative business snits in Ottawa over
China threatened the value of a trillion US dollars.
Whoa, now! Blind blanket bans on condoms threatens women and
children. Dusting poppies to fight drugs threatens
starvation. Sitting down to listen and negotiate wins.
Putting some money where your moralistic mouth is might help. Have
some tea. Take some time. This could be easy, if you let
it.
Jupiter in his alter-egos of Mister Pushy, hardly Mister
Live-and-let-live, made quite a statement last week. A major blow
in Manila. Fist fights in the Mexican parliament. Another
South American election goes against the US. Arab states in a
panic. The rockets’ red glare in Kandahar met with the first
Canadian tank fire in 50 years. What have we gone and Dion?
At least it was relatively peaceful. More “big posturings” than
many little hurts.

This week: OK, that was then, this is now. Full Moon
Monday as Mercury squares Saturn standing still. Talk about talking
to a wall! A bit of bitterness in the tone? Then her
sweetness, Venus, gets testy Thursday running over the Scorpion’s tail,
the same time the Fat Boy aspects the Lords of Twisting. There’s
nary a thing one can really do about budding tension until the weekend’s
pointed statements and much unwinds.
Monday - Tuesday, 4-5 December. (Full Moon in Gemini. Sun
aspects Jupiter / stationary Saturn. 12-13 degrees of Mutual Signs,
27-28 Cardinal)
If you want a contract to stick, here’s your sign. Sagittarius
spreads wide over the map, so Gemini points to a neighbourhood focus,
keeping to the familiar. Lasting benefits.
Monday - Wednesday, 4-6 December. (Moon in Gemini, early
Cancer. Mercury square stationary Saturn, aspects Jupiter /
Neptune. 25 Fixed Signs, 10 Cardinal)
The Messenger aspects a Major Planet Complex. Hoarse and
coarse, this voice is raspy, harsh. Better still and quiet than
this chill. Even admitting defeat falls on deaf ears, or have they
been burnt too often? Poor reception. Take the time off,
already.
Wednesday - Thursday, 6-7 December. (Moon in Cancer. Venus
aligns with Pluto and the Galactic Centre. 26 degrees Mutable
Signs)
Feeling isolated? Alienated? You’ve got to get out more,
open up to the possibilities. Leave the status quo behind. Go all
or bust. Some will feel a pinch. Risk it.
(Jupiter aspects Saturn / Uranus. 3 Mutable Sign, 18
Cardinal)
Our second Major Planet Complex this week! This means
one thing overall: major social / political movements. The first
one tears down restrictions. This one builds new structures.
Big money is on the line, big projects, major business deals.
Saturday, 9 December. (Moon in Leo. Sun sextile
Neptune. 17 degrees of All Signs)
You know, it’s always something… else. Oh, the
distractions. Want to give up now? Too much to do with too
little? This happens in its own time and way. Let it go.
Saturday – Sunday, 9-10 December. (Moon in Leo, early
Virgo. Mercury aligns with Mars, then Jupiter, aspects Sun /
Neptune, Saturn / Uranus. 2-3 Mutable, 17-18 Cardinal)
What a trouble maker, all mouth, little to back it up. Are you
an arsonist, setting brush fires to see the glow, the excitement?
There will always be someone bigger, better than just you. Now,
will you learn?
If you want the "horrible-scopes", go somewhere else.
If you want the meaning behind them, stay on.
Is your Number up? Check Your Four Personal Points for
every day, see below. If the numbers match, this day is for
you.
Each forecast shows: the Moon Sign, the Planetary Aspect, and Numbers
of degrees in Signs for the Planetary Aspect.
The Moon Sign is the Sign the Moon is in for that day.
The Moon Sign gives advantage to the Sign it is in, puts extra
pressure on the opposite Sign, and tends to cross up or neutralise the
Signs at right angles. For example, with Fixed Signs, if the Moon
is in Taurus, Taurus has the advantage, Scorpio gets challenged, and Leo
and Aquarius get shifted or crossed up.
The Planetary Aspect is where action is released. It's the
Excuse. Unlike daily Horoscopes that suggest each day has the same
level of influence, this is the core of changes in the daily
energies.
The Sign Numbers are the degrees in the Signs of the Zodiac being
emphasised. If the degree for any day is close to any degree of
Your Four Personal Points (see below), within a degree or so, THIS
IS YOUR DAY. Pay extra ATTENTION.
You may have several days in the week activated for you, or you may have
none. As a degree hits one of Your Four Personal Points, the
forecast tells about the important things in your life. The daily
forecasts tell you when. The overall story comes through over
time. Sooner or later, the degrees of the Forecast catch up to
you.
Your Four Personal Points are, in order of importance:
The Ascendant, the Mid-heaven, the Moon, and the
Sun.
These are the most important Points of your Horoscope, calculated
from your birth date, your birth-place, and the time of day you drew your
first breath. The first two Personal Points, the Ascendant
and Mid-heaven, are the points that fix the
Earth in space for your birth time at your specific birth
place. We live on the Earth, not the Sun or the Moon. The
Ascendant, also called Your Rising Sign, is more important
than your Sun Sign.
Simply, and generally only, forecasts that affect your:
Ascendant relate to matters in your
environment. Use it to see what's in your "face".
Mid-heaven relate to matters in your personal
life. Use it to see what's in your mind.
Moon
relate to matters in your emotional life. Use it to see
what's in your heart.
Sun
relate to matters in your physical
life. Use it to see what's in
your core.
The Signs of the Zodiac are:
Card: Cardinal Signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn)
Fix: Fixed Signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius)
Mut: Mutable Signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces)
Heaven, Help Us! The forecast is the mood of the
moment. For example, if it rains, we all get wet, no matter
what "Sign" we are.
If you like this forecast, let others know. SEND IT TO THEM.
If you have comments or questions, LET ME KNOW. Check Your Four
Personal Points each week if any of them is targeted, and...
