John Rutherford's
Check Your Chart, for the Week of 1 January, 2007
John Rutherford is a friend of mine who gives me my regular chart readings...
Back in 1993, he once told me I would be addressing large crowds in the future...
Did I believe him then? His charts have been pretty good for me, and so I share his knowledge with you.
May the New Year be good to you. How better to learn than to take a look at what’s coming? As last year’s theme was dominated by the T-square of the Giant Planets, this one is dominated with a complex involving the same Giants, Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune, but with a better potential for “growth” over “restructuring”. And, for a better outcome than last year, since this complex involves Venus.
Her involvement with Jupiter produces opportunities not often found. There will be a price to pay. After all, in any contest, though this needn’t be one, someone has to win, someone has to lose. Someone has to lead, someone has to follow.
If the follower refuses the lead, then they are on their own. Such is the sacrificial nature of Saturn opposed Neptune, around the start of March. Jupiter trines Saturn mid-March, lending support, and setting conditions that stay consistent for a while, therefore predictable and thereby comforting. Venus makes a trine to both Jupiter and Saturn, forming a Grand Trine at the end of March. This is when the Dynamo gets wound up.
Grand Trines are collectors of energy, like a battery. If only the three making up the trine are involved, so what? Nothing gets in, nothing gets out, we’re safe, and all are protected. But if any one of the members has a hard aspect to anything else, there’s a leak, a release, at times like a rush or an explosion, depending on its members. To have the Bliss Makers, Venus and Jupiter, involved in this one should give us, all of us around the globe, a warm and memorable start to Spring. El Nino is coming.
This all focuses on and around the 18th to 20th degrees of the Fixed Signs. These are Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius. The 3rd to 5th degrees of the Cardinal Signs also get dragged into this slippery mess. The Cardinal Signs are Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn.
March could be a beautiful ballet on ice, a truly wonderful expression. Or, this could be a fantasy ice palace, soon to melt in the heat and glare. Its performance depends where it fits in your Chart. Does it hit any of your Four Personal Points? Is it time for an update?
Note Been: I am expanding the reach of the aspects analysed in this forecast. Transits of the Inner, Terrestrial Planets to midpoints of the Outer, Giant Planets, trigger another layer of Planetary involvement with Your Four Personal Points.
Following these aspects helps follow the slow moving Outer Planet midpoints, important secondary aspects. They can involve more parts of your Horoscope than expected. These aren’t shown when only looking at simple aspects.

These Weeks: The Sun settled down, then the Earth shivered and shook for a few days, mostly in Asia, its effects more scattered and smaller, not concentrated and doing focused damage. No Tsunami, practically no damage.
Now, the Full Moon Wednesday morning for the Rain Coast should be a settling of Monday’s blustery disruption from Venus grating with Uranus. Mercury aligned with the Sun Saturday is the core of a major shift, from a critical, challenging point of view to a view, more than a “wish” but a “reaching” of consideration and co-operation. It must be seen to be done. Till next week, it’s only a promise. It takes time to carve it in stone.
Monday - Wednesday, 1-3 January. (Moon in late Gemini, Cancer. Venus, then the Sun, then Mercury, aspect Uranus. 26 degrees of Cardinal Signs, 11 degrees of All Signs)
Venus is rather rough on the Mad Hatter’s mood, but the Sun lends strength to, reduces the roughness of, the needed changes, with final details negotiated through Mercury. But, there could also be days of getting up on the wrong side of the bed when there are no accommodations given or changes taken.
Tuesday, 2 January. (Moon in Cancer. Mercury aspects Saturn. 9 Card, 24 Fix)
Changes are coming to your constipated weekend. Something foul must be removed.
Wednesday, 3 January. (Full Moon in Cancer. Sun aspects Jupiter / Neptune. 12-13 Cardinal Signs, 27-28 Mutable)
A thrill ride, just for the sake of entertainment, or for the sake of letting more just go. It could also be “go away”. Get out of the way. You don’t find peace through aggravation.
Friday – Sunday, 5-7 January. (Moon in Leo to Virgo. Mercury aligns with the Sun, both aspect Uranus / Neptune and Jupiter / Saturn. 14-16 degrees Cardinal, 29 Fixed, 0-1 degrees Mutable Signs)
We’ve got some major negotiations going on. It’s all so hush-hush. It will be days before we can really talk about it, if there are any breaks in the evasiveness. If it’s to be legit, something must be pinned down, more precisely by Saturday, or forget it.
If you want the "horrible-scopes", go somewhere else. If you want the meaning behind them, stay on.
Is your Number up? Check Your Four Personal Points for every day, see below. If the numbers match, this day is for you.
Each forecast shows: the Moon Sign, the Planetary Aspect, and Numbers of degrees in Signs for the Planetary Aspect.
The Moon Sign is the Sign the Moon is in for that day. The Moon Sign gives advantage to the Sign it is in, puts extra pressure on the opposite Sign, and tends to cross up or neutralise the Signs at right angles. For example, with Fixed Signs, if the Moon is in Taurus, Taurus has the advantage, Scorpio gets challenged, and Leo and Aquarius get shifted or crossed up.
The Planetary Aspect is where action is released. It's the Excuse. Unlike daily Horoscopes that suggest each day has the same level of influence, this is the core of changes in the daily energies.
The Sign Numbers are the degrees in the Signs of the Zodiac being emphasised. If the degree for any day is close to any degree of Your Four Personal Points (see below), within a degree or so, THIS IS YOUR DAY. Pay extra ATTENTION.
You may have several days in the week activated for you, or you may have none. As a degree hits one of Your Four Personal Points, the forecast tells about the important things in your life. The daily forecasts tell you when. The overall story comes through over time. Sooner or later, the degrees of the Forecast catch up to you.
Your Four Personal Points are, in order of importance:
The Ascendant, the Mid-heaven, the Moon, and the Sun.
These are the most important Points of your Horoscope, calculated from your birth date, your birth-place, and the time of day you drew your first breath. The first two Personal Points, the Ascendant and Mid-heaven, are the points that fix the Earth in space for your birth time at your specific birth place. We live on the Earth, not the Sun or the Moon. The Ascendant, also called Your Rising Sign, is more important than your Sun Sign.
Simply, and generally only, forecasts that affect your:
Ascendant relate to matters in your environment. Use it to see what's in your "face".
Mid-heaven relate to matters in your personal life. Use it to see what's in your mind.
Moon relate to matters in your emotional life. Use it to see what's in your heart.
Sun relate to matters in your physical life. Use it to see what's in your core.
The Signs of the Zodiac are:
Card: Cardinal Signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn)
Fix: Fixed Signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius)
Mut: Mutable Signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces)
Heaven, Help Us! The forecast is the mood of the moment. For example, if it rains, we all get wet, no matter what "Sign" we are.
If you like this forecast, let others know. SEND IT TO THEM. If you have comments or questions, LET ME KNOW. Check Your Four Personal Points each week if any of them is targeted, and... PAY ATTENTION!
