John Rutherford’s
Check Your Chart, for the Week of 19 March, 2007
John Rutherford is a friend of mine
who has taught me lots about astrology. He brings a sense of humour and
wonderful way to look at the interactions and relationships between
significant points and planets.
- Todd
Well, let’s see. Spring has ris’. Mother Gaia has gone
through the warmest Winter on record… again. Osama turned
50. The Iraq debacle turns 4.
It comes out that “KSM”, the 9/11 mastermind, admitted to everything done
by Al Qaeda, all under torture, of course. If true, Osama must
really miss him.
Iraqi government-sponsored death squads rule the streets. That
country’s biggest (civil?) war contractor, Halliburton, bails out of
close scrutiny to the regulation-free zone called Dubai. And, the
Donald calls Bush a liar, the worst Pres in history.
Musharraf (aka Bush-arraf) arrests the Supreme Court Chief Justice for
thwarting the sale of the Pakistan Steel Mills to the Saudi’s for much
less than a dime on the rupee. Oh yeah, Judge Cahudhry was also
looking into human-rights cases. Wasn’t VP Cheney just there,
saying “get tough”? So much for Rule of Law and pursuit of
democracy.
The US Attorney General may soon step down, thanks to helping Bush and
Rove politicise the Judiciary. Libby is down, Plame is up, vets and
more against the war march in the streets. And the more Bush’s team
faces court, the more it looks like Vietnam all over again. Nixon
saw 23 of his admin do time in the slammer, including his top cop.
Closer to home, primitive bigotries pervade the Quebec election, what
with gay-bashing and charges of racism. As prep for a federal
election, enviro-guy Dion comes on strong for law and order, while the
law and order guy turns a shade of green, mostly as in greenback, what
with all the promises and spending. What budget? Where’s the
conservation? Already, the sense of urgency about Global Warming is
getting a chill.
And, where’s the focus on the giant ape in the room? We wouldn’t
have such eco-desolation, such consumption, such pollution if there
weren’t so darned many of us. Education and rights for women is
proven to act as birth control. Poverty leads to fumble-mentalism,
sex-for-procreation and tribal-level violence. Extreme wealth leads
to an obese sense of entitlement. Hundreds of billions, now
trillions, are spent on violence, yet sex-for-pleasure is a moral
issue? What? It keeps the angst and the numbers down.
Note Bene: There is a time to sow and a time to reap, a time to
work and a time to play. There is a time to hold ‘em and a time to
fold ‘em. There is a time and place for everything under
Heaven. Know what by when. Astrology is all about
timing.

This Week: It’s going to be a test. As Mars opposes
Saturn Thursday, triggering the Grand Trine Complex of the last two
weeks, tempers turn eager, anxious, if not wrathful. A soft aspect
to Jupiter does NOT help, but supports the sense of confrontation.
Futility rises Sunday with our Action Planet aligning with dissipative
Neptune.
As the US housing bubble bursts, stampeding global markets, and
confidence goes out of all sorts of competitions/confrontations, there’s
still Make Love, Not War, highlighted Wednesday. Not only fun, it’s
distracting and good for the Planet.
Wednesday, 21 March. (Moon in Taurus. Venus in Taurus aspects
Jupiter. 4 Fix, 19 Mut)
What a lovely start to Spring. Take your pleasure as it’s
offered. It’s sweet, only short without effort, so why wait?
With few strings, with blissful promises, where’s the loss?
Thursday – Sunday, 22-25 March. (Moon through Gemini and
Cancer. Mars opposed Saturn, sextile Jupiter, conjunct Neptune; Sun
aspects Mars-Saturn / Neptune. 18-21 Fixed Signs, 3-6 Card)
Help yourself, and us. Expect this to be tough, demanding, and
probably disappointing. All things start in the Mind’s Eye.
The more effort expected, and the sooner it’s done, the sooner you can
put your feet up Sunday, The Day for Time Out! What, you want to
prolong this? Are you addicted to make-work projects? Let it
go. We all have limits.
Friday, 23 March. (Moon in Gemini. Sun aspects
Jupiter-Saturn / Uranus. 2 Card, 17 Fix)
Go, kids, go. A bit of fun and games, a bit of helter-skelter,
before things get serious and settled, if not squashed, slammed shut,
when to boss comes home tomorrow.
Saturday, 24 March. (Moon in Gemini. Sun aspects
Saturn. 3 Card, 18 Fix)
Time to sober up. Play it safe so you won’t be so sorry Monday,
when another pain killer may be needed, or a toast is welcome for good
job done! Yup, done, finished, gone.
If you want the “horrible-scopes”, go somewhere else. If you want
the meaning behind them, stay on.
Is your Number up? Check Your Four Personal Points for every
day, see below. If the numbers match, this day is for you.
Each forecast shows: the Moon Sign, the Planetary Aspect, and Numbers of
degrees in Signs for the Planetary Aspect.
The Moon Sign is the Sign the Moon is in for that day. The
Moon Sign gives advantage to the Sign it is in, puts extra pressure on
the opposite Sign, and tends to cross up or neutralise the Signs at right
angles. For example, with Fixed Signs, if the Moon is in Taurus,
Taurus has the advantage, Scorpio gets challenged, and Leo and Aquarius
get shifted or crossed up.
The Planetary Aspect is where action is released. It’s the
Excuse. Unlike daily Horoscopes that suggest each day has the same
level of influence, this is the core of changes in the daily
energies.
The Sign Numbers are the degrees in the Signs of the Zodiac being
emphasised. If the degree for any day is close to any degree of
Your Four Personal Points (see below), within a degree or so, THIS
IS YOUR DAY. Pay extra ATTENTION!
You may have several days in the week activated for you, or you may have
none. As a degree hits one of Your Four Personal Points, the
forecast tells about the important things in your life. The daily
forecasts tell you when. The overall story comes through over
time. Sooner or later, the degrees of the Forecast catch up to
you.
Your Four Personal Points are: Ascendant, Mid-heaven, Moon, and
Sun in their order of importance.
These are the most important Points of your Horoscope,
calculated from your birth date, your birth-place, and the time of day
you drew your first breath. The first two Personal Points, the
Ascendant and Mid-heaven, are the points that fix the Earth in
space for your birth time at your specific birth place.
We live on the Earth, not the Sun or the Moon. The
Ascendant, also called Your Rising Sign, is more important
than your Sun Sign.
Simply, and generally only, forecasts that affect your:
Ascendant relate to matters in your
environment. Use it to see what’s in your “face”.
Mid-heaven relate to matters in your personal
life. Use it to see what’s in your mind.
Moon
relate to matters in your emotional life. Use it to see
what’s in your heart.
Sun
relate to matters in your physical
life. Use it to see what’s in
your core.
The Signs of the Zodiac are:
Card: Cardinal Signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn)
Fix: Fixed Signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius)
Mut: Mutable Signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces)
Heaven, Help Us! The forecast is the global mood of the
moment. If it rains, we all get wet, no matter what “Sign” we are.
If you like this forecast, let others know. SEND IT TO THEM.
If you have comments or questions, LET ME KNOW. Check Your Four
Personal Points each week to see if any of them is targeted,
and... PAY ATTENTION!
